Murdoch: Fox ad sales up 40% over upfront

CHICAGO (MarketWatch) — News Corp. Chairman Rupert Murdoch said Monday that advertising sales at Fox Broadcasting are up 40% over sales completed last summer. “The big advertisers, whether they be P&G, or Coca-Cola, or AT&T — they want mass audiences,” Murdoch commented at the annual Bear Stearns Media Conference. News Corp. is the parent of Dow Jones & Co., which includes MarketWatch, the publisher of this report.
