Pfizer CEO says share price does not reflect progress

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) — Pfizer’s Chairman and Chief Executive Jeffrey Kindler said Thursday that despite the progress made by the company, its stock has not yet priced in the results. “Operationally, in 2007, we took a series of significant actions to better position Pfizer to meet our challenges and to seize the many opportunities before us in the growing global marketplace for better healthcare,” Kindler said. “Of course, we are far from done - and our progress is not yet reflected in the share price,” he said at the company’s annual shareholder meeting. Shares of the pharmaceutical company were up 0.2% to $19.92 in morning trade.
