Treasury yields rise as equities gain ground
LONDON (MarketWatch) — Yields on some U.S. Treasurys rose slightly Monday as equities gained ground. The yield on the two-year Treasury note was up little changed at 2.24% in recent action, while the 10-year yield gained one basis point to 3.78% and the 30-year T-bond yield rose one basis point to 4.53%. Yields rise when bond prices drop. European stocks were trading higher Monday and U.S. stock futures pointed toward a higher opening on Wall Street.
