Fidelity unit Pyramis hires new CEO

BOSTON (MarketWatch) — Pyramis Global Advisors, a Fidelity Investments subsidiary, on Thursday said it has tapped Kevin Uebelein as its chief executive offer, succeeding Peter Smail, who announced his retirement earlier this year. Uebelein joins the investment manager from Prudential Financial Inc. , where he was chief investment officer for the international business, according to a press release. Uebelein will join Pyramis in late June and report to Michael Wilens, recently named Fidelity’s head of asset management.
