Thomas Cook, TUI Travel, Lufthansa in unit merger talks

LONDON (MarketWatch) — Tour operator Thomas Cook Group said Thursday that it’s in talks with competitor TUI Travel and airline Deutsche Lufthansa over a potential merger of Condor, Germanwings and TUIFly Germany. No commercial terms have been agreed and there is no certainty that any transaction will result, the firm said.
