Russia’s RTS exchange halts trading for one hour

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) — Russia’s RTS stock exchange suspended trading for an hour Tuesday, because the market fell more than 8%. Trading was suspended at 5:20 p.m. Moscow time, the RTS exchange said. The RTS stock index was down 11.5% as of 5:53 p.m. Moscow time, according to the RTS website. Moscow’s other stock exchange, the MICEX, also suspended trading for an hour on Tuesday after the market fell more than 8%.
