Imax shares get a boost from Disney pact

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) — Shares of Imax Corp. jumped nearly 15% in premarket trading Wednesday on news of a partnership with Walt Disney Co. . The Wall Street Journal reported that Disney will release five movies in Imax, the first of which will be “A Christmas Carol,” starring Jim Carrey, set for release in late 2009. Disney has not decided on the other four titles or their release dates, the article said.
