LONDON (MarketWatch) — Deutsche Bank is looking to cut 900 jobs, mostly in New York and London, according to a report in the Financial Times. The cuts would reduce Deutsche’s 7,000 person global markets team by 12%, the report said. Deutsche is reducing its exposure to several business lines including its trading of structured products such as collateralized debt obligations. Deutsche is also cutting jobs in credit origination and in proprietary trading, the newspaper continued, without citing sources.
