Sallie Mae plans to add 1,100 to its workforce

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) — Sallie Mae announced plans Thursday to open a new credit operations center in Delaware which it said would add 1,100 jobs to the workforce. The government-sponsored student-loan provider said it expects to hire approximately 750 employees in Delaware for the new center by the end of 2010, and an additional 350 more employees in 2011.
