Oil futures fall 2% in volatile trading

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) — Oil futures fell 2% Friday in volatile trading, as U.S. stocks also headed lower, erasing earlier gains. Oil for January delivery dropped $1.05 to $48.35 a barrel in electronic trading on Globex.
